Here is the final installment on an issue I have been working on with Jeff at MAM. He provided timely help to a high standard including a new caliper part. We all complain when things aren't taken care of so I have to give Jeff an "attaboy" on this one.

Jeff,
This case is closed! I reversed the 8:00-6 Airhawk on the right rim and there is now rotating clearance of about 1/8". Apparently the tire is not symmetrical about the midpoint of its beads. I've never seen a tire like thatand neither has anyone I have spoken to. It does of course mean that I can't reverse it again for uneven wear but that is a small rice to pay and it may never be an issue. We both learned something. Thank you for all of your help!
Regards,
Ralph Baker
