Subject: [rebel-builders] aeromatic prop...
Hello
After some discussion about the C90/aeromatic prop in the last days, I do
have some questions if some of you have the answers and the
time...
1- How does it work?
If it is so good why no more in production? Why just little engine? If
they come back in production, is it smart to think about a 0-235 /
aeromatic prop combination instead 0-320/fixed pitch?
If it is so good, why it is not more popular?

[rebel-builders] aeromatic prop...
Jean,
Everything I had read about them is good other than the AD to check the lag screws. They were very popular when they came out. They are NOT any heavier than a standard metal fixed pitch prop. That is the wonder of them. Same weight as a standard prop with nearly the benefits of a CS. If you check the site they have been approved on many different planes. I had one to put one my Champ which has an O-235 in it....but couldn't find where it was legal unless I got it field approved. It is legal for my O-235...just wasn't appoved on a Champ such as mine. My Champ is a 7AC-CONV....ie...it had a 65 Cont. and was STC'd for the O-235. It is a good performer.
