To rebel 112R

The empty weight as the plane sets in the hanger today is 868 lbs. I am
planing to make 6 changes to some fairings and coweling ect. this winter
adding 3 or 4 lbs more weight. If these changes add 4 or 5 mph to the top
speel ( I hope ) then I will reach my goal of flying level a the airframe
VNE. ( Note some of the ideas for these changes came from Darl Murphy during
his visit last July. )

686 lbs was the empty weight of the plane with the A-65 Continental on it.
The IO 240 engine & electrical system installation added 182 lbs to the
plane, of which 135 lbs was forward of the firewall. This speaks well of the
tremendous Cof G range the Rebel design.

Well, all that extra performance is then mostly due to drag reduction and HP.
When I saw that 686#'s. I tried hard to figure where you could have saved
all that weight. Thanks for the reply.
