[rebel-builders] Looking for part numbers Walter? Wayne?

Post by Rebflyer » Sun Feb 19, 2012 12:04 pm

Hi all, but mostly Walter or Wayne.
MY Conical engine mount bushings have started to sag (after 10 yrs can
you believe it?) and as I prepare to replace them I'm looking for help on the
part number. The ones in the aircraft are a Lord J-6113-1. Aviall says yes
they exist but not sure where in the world that might be, and Aircraft Spruce
was about as helpful. I get the feeling that they have been superseded with
another part number but I'm not sure what. The PA-28-150 Super Cub for a
0-320-A2B is part # J7402-16. Does that ring a bell with anyone? I do have the MAM
engine mount. These bushings have the offset interior bushing for an AN-6
bolt.
I was feeling a little rushed but after getting 4" of snow last night and
our 5th night in a row of below freezing after a couple of weeks of 65f + I'm
not quite as rushed, but at least the ice is gone on the lake!
Any help will really be appreciated.
Thanks,
Curt N97MR

Curt...yes the number moulded into the outer rubber is J6113-1......BUT....
the actual number for the aerobatic rubbers is J-6230-1

These are the rubbers with the metal inserts moulded onto them (and the
metal thru "bushing") because without those metal inserts the rear pipes of
your intake will hit the engine mount. Certified end use is Bellanca
7ECA/7GCAA/7BCBC/7KCAB/8KCAB.

Take your bank manager to order them. Just looked it up and the set I bought
in 2004, from Leavens Aviation, were $164.95 cdn EACH !

[rebel-builders] Looking for part numbers Walter? Wayne?

Hi Wayne,
As always, thanks a bunch!
The ones I have had actually sagged enough to cause the tailpipes to tap
the lip on the firewall.
That's why I decided to replace them.
I'll try Aviall and Wicks too just to compare prices.
J-6230-1 it is.
Thanks,
Curt
