[rebel-builders] Torque Tube spacer CC-54

Let me check my left over parts box tonight. I'm pretty sure I have some
extra ones.

I think I forgot to send some of my parts over here to
Hawaii. I am at Chapter 10.14.1 and it states to
install 1/2" sleeve (CC-54) onto the torque tube. I
can't find CC-54 in my parts bin and my have left it
with the fuselage kit that was shipped to Minnesota.
Does anyone have the demensions for this part so as I
can make one. To me it seems to be nearly the same as
CC-100. 2"ID x .120 tubing?

[rebel-builders] Torque Tube spacer CC-54

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:55 am

Some vintages of kits had precut slices and others just had a short length
of 1/8" wall tube that slipped over top of the torque tube and you had to
cut the slices yourself from this stock.

Sorry. I looked through my stuff and I don't have any of the CC-54s. I
sure have a lot of stuff left over though. If anybody needs stuff, ask. I
have almost all of the parts for the flap mechanism and rear bench seat
since I did my own roof mounted flap system and went with rear bucket seats.
I also have some other stuff that must have been shipping mistakes or
something.

Thanks for looking Mike. But, It looks like I will
just be putting them in storage and have to finish
them when I get them shipped back to MN in about a
year. I didn't have the forsight to realize I needed
the flapperons here to line up the horns on the torque
tube. SO I guess I will just stop construction until I
get moved back to MN. Plus there are a couple of other
small Items I don't have enough of here. Namely SS
rivets. I am headed back to MN in a month anyways for
the summer and if I order them they won't get here
until it is nearly time for me to leave. I may unpack
my stuff at my farm and just bring them back when I
return in the fall.
