Hi Nancy:

I'm the one who has the high speed cowl from you when changed from Subaru to
Lycoming O-320 with N83MR.

As soon as I get my bird ready, I'll send you a picture. You may have a
picture from the previous owner, but the new cowl changes the appearance.

In fact, I will solicit a favor to speed things up. Could you huddle with
the Tech team up there and get me a troubleshooting list to get my CHT down off
the red line. Holds right at red line at ground run climb out (70 @ 1000
ft/min), and level flight. Only have one plug ring sensor on low plug, number 3
cylinder. The cowl is new using a 2.5 inch prop extension. I've tried
everything but voodoo dancing.

All the Best,

John in NC

John, there are hundreds of emails in the achives about what needs to be
done with that "speed cowling" to make it work on the Rebel. It WILL NOT
work the way it comes from the factory and by now the mould should have been
modifed to save a lot of grief at the builders end of things.

Nancy's "Tech team" will fix that hot Lyco pretty quick...and sell you a
Rotax 912S since she's not at Murphy anymore...just proud of what she did
while there and want's to remember her past.

Wayne

Wayne:

Much thanks. Will get into the archives.

Also have pictures of Bob Patterson's Cowl. Close up of the intake and flow
exit tells me I have some work in that area.

Again thanks,

John in NC
