[rebel-builders] FUS-372 dash

Post by jtpackard » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:42 am

Jason:
On my SR 043, FUS-372 is .032 inch 6061-T6 and mine is trimmed to 5" x 36",
I'm not sure what it's original size was or how it was ID'd in the box as it
is now primed but not riveted in place.
Hope this helps.

Guys,

On my Moose fastbuild I have no FUS-372 (dash
extension under the forward part of the windshield)
listed on my inventory. Nor was it included on the
fuselage!? Am I missing something here? Is it to be
fabricated from raw stock, or am i potentially missing
a part?

Is it from stainless or aluminium? I may make my own
rather than wait for Murphy to send me a new one.
Anyone know the thickness and dimensions?

Thanks, -Jason

Anybody have an MD-RA inspector that woke up to the fact it should be
stainless yet? ;O)

I was going to glue fiberfrax onto it but I remade it in stainless for
my Rebel. Glad I did as the fiberfrax would have got a good spraying of
oil during engine testing while I was trying to find the oil leak that
was under the flywheel on the other friggin end of the engine... FWIW I
think that aluminum cabin heat boxes/valves are probably a higher risk.
