[rebel-builders] Parts orders from MAM

Post by Bob Patterson » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:34 am

Wayne's got the right idea to approach this situation.

Just to streamline things a bit for Steve, it would be best if you could
title your email "Parts order status request - #1", and <list the parts you
are expecting> in the email. No need to go through a lot of detail about
how long you've waited, or other replies you might have had - Steve is
starting over in many cases ! I'm sure he sympathizes, and will do his best
to get your parts to you quickly.

PLEASE include a telephone number, or 2, where you can be
reached, best times to call, and your shipping address, and
the model, (and serial number (if possible)) of your kit. The date of the
original order would help.....

I'm sure that detail will help - and he can call if more is needed.

Thanks for your patience & understanding !!

Anyone that has a parts order into Murphy via Nancy's email account.......
You would be wise to contact Steve Cooper, via the shipping@murphyair.com
address, to verify that they have your information.

Steve cut off Nancy's email account as it was just adding confusion to what
he is trying to put in place, to get some order to what's supposed to be
going out the door. Steve has the right attitude and hopes to fine tune
things so 2007 is the best year at Murphy to date.

Darryl is multi-hatting right now...sales/purchasing/tech support but has
hired on Joel Landry in the sales department. So that is whom you would be
contacting..... for any of the guys here that are buying kits, sub kits etc
and want to know the status of what you've bought or are contemplating
buying. jlandry@murphyair.com

Not going to share everything I learned today, but I will say I was a witts
end waiting for my own parts that were promised to be out last week and had
to light a fire under someone...so I started with Darryl to skip the BS...or
to keep it to a minimum anyhow! LOL

I was ready to say "uncle" and take my efforts elsewhere, but I'm back in
the game after todays converstions. Try to be patient guys, it can only get
better and I think it just may based on what I heard today.....and I'm not
easily fooled! ;o)

Now if I don't see my large order in a couple of weeks max.....I'll be
singin a different tune!

Cheers,
Wayne

[rebel-builders] Parts orders from MAM

Post by Eddie Moran » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:34 am

I have talked to Steve many times in the last week or so. I am somewhat familiar with MAM since I spent about a month there when I was testing the Bombardier engine. I have also spoken with Daryl in the last week.

My observations...........via phone calls............ I think Daryl is committed to make things work through the transition. I also think Steve is very likely to impress in the future. For now, he is progressing rapidly up a steep hill.

My Moose, N240MM, is now located in Tittusville Florida. The engine (M14) is sitting 5 feet away, ready to install. I am waiting on the last parts, an engine mount and cowling. Those items will ship Thursday night and the Moose will fly by Valentines day.

Although I am not the builder, and I admire those that do that, I very much look forward to the first flight with the re-powered Moose.

I do have a few questions. First, does a spinner help with cooling? How much should a spinner cost?

I have more questions but will post later.
