Jean....there are many ways to do tie downs. The easiest is to just take a
scrap piece of .032 or .040 and cut some triangles about 2.5" on the bottom
x 2" high. Drill for three rivet holes and a single hole for the bungee
cord end. Bend up slightly to clear the floor and allow the bungee end to
hook in. Rivet on in each corner of the baggage area and buy a multi-pak of
bungee cords.

I have now "scrap" the lexan of my kit to make the floor pattern.... as in
the manual. But before closing the floor, I would like to know what
most people use as baggage anchor (you now know I am not an english
teacher!)? Some hook?/"& May be it is the good time to rivet them on
the floor with the channel ? What have you use?

Jean just make sure you don't rivet the corner wrap part of the floor (like
I did) before you run your fuel lines under the doors - that is assuming you
want the fuel line hidden and away from the control cables. Some prefer to
have them exposed though.

Another is to put a few nutplates in the floor so that removeable rings
can be screwed in. My "rings" are just bent pieces of 0.032" aluminum
with a hole for a #10 screw and a larger hole for the bungee or rope.The
nutplates are rivetted to some triangle shaped doublers on or under the
floor at the corner of a bulkhead and a channel. In fact the same
screws also hold a piece of removeable angle across the floor at the
rear of the baggage compartment to stop luggage from moving aft and to
fasten (velcro) a cloth curtain to. The curtain keeps heat in during
winter and probably quiets the cockpit a bit.

Hi Jean !

You could get some extra seat rail & run it right to the back
of the baggage area, as several have done with the Moose. You can
get 'pip-pin' removeable rings that plug into the seat rail holes,
to use as tiedowns.

You could use a piece of that Lexan to make a cover for the
aileron mixer mechanism - so you can see it for inspection, and
keep bags out !

Jean,

I agree with Wayne. That is what he did with FOKM when I was to bring
her out west. Later I hijacked the cargo net from the trunk of my wife's
Acura - she doesn't know - shhh. The cargo net is very adaptable and
hooks into the tie downs Wayne designed. System works right up to the
roof.

Hi Jean I just used some 3/4" flat nylon webbing rivetted to the floor
over a channel with large head rivets. The cargo net works too I got mine
by wandering around the local junk yard looking in trunks until I found one
that I liked.
