I just wanted to thank everyone that contributed with suggestions for my
cooling problem. Despite the scary "...cracked block", "...bad block
casting", stuff your comments and suggestions are very much appreciated.
Here's hoping it's a pesky trapped air problem. I was not sure that simply
using a thermostat housing with the cap attached there would be adequate
when I first set the system up. Most radiator-under-the-engine or otherwise
remotely located use an expansion tank with radiator cap mounted above the
system somewhere. Perhaps I simply need to do that.
