Thanks Jean, I'll try Leavans. What is API ???

Of course I'm french, but I figured my chances of a response on this list
was a little better in english, lol.

Merci, Aurele

Think they are called Semkits and they come in 2 oz. or 3.5 oz. size.
The small one should be fine but the intent of those kits is that you
mix the whole thing. With difficulty they can be taken apart and mixed
in two lots. Might be worth asking if they have any time expired ones as
they clear those quite a bit cheaper when they have them.
Type B means filleting which is what you probably want. B2 means 2 hour
working time. B 1/2 would likely also be fine.

Hi Jim

I'm pretty sure what you are describing is what Murphy provided for
installation of the windshield, although this does not appear to be the
recommended method for installing windshields. (Check the archives for more
information on windshield installation.)

A two part epoxy primer is the recommended material for dipping rivets and
brushing onto mating surfaces when assembling so as not to give corrosion a
place to start. Poly Fiber Epoxy Primer EP420 along with Catalyst EP430 is
the recommended material for that job.

A 2 part Proseal is used for sealing the fuel tanks.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Norm,
we are just getting going on the wings and Dad said it was calling for some
Pro Seal. We don't have the 2 part stuff. Any idea what the number on it
is and where to get it?

Jim,

That is a little hard to beleive! Don't know anything about the single part stuff. If I remember correctly you need the quart size of the two part Pro-Seal for both tanks. It does have a shelf life to it so you won't need it till you get close to doing the tanks.

Just going throught the stuff we got with our kit and we have one 10 oz tube of Bostich Pro Seal 1 part. I find it hard to believe that that one tube is going to do everything that needs to be done and I am not even sure that it is the correct stuff for the kit. When we looked in Aircraft Spruce's catalogue the Pro Seal (2 different kinds) is not the same. Can anyone tell me what the correct stuff is and where is the best place to get it. Also about how much should I get?
Thanks,
Jim Parr
