Murphy Rebel Seats May 2006

Here is some information from Hi-Tech Foams about Murphy seats. He sent a
picture of

the layering for the Kitfox airplane which I will try and post on the
Builders site. This

approach requires that you go to a local shop and have them make the seat
covers in

what ever design that you want (and maybe some of your side panels at the
same time)

We just supply the Confor Foam for the seats.



To give you an accurate quote we would need your seat dimensions. In most
cases a seat bottom cushion consisting of 1" of soft, 1" of medium, and 1"

of firm. This cushion would raise you approximately 1 1/2 inches off the
seat pan, would that make you too high?



If there is a curve or wedge to your seat bottom then you would need to
purchase your 1" densities individually and glue them in the curve. We have
several standard cuts that you can cut to your dimensions with an electric
kitchen knife or bandsaw.



Pricing for any density is:

1X16X18 $17.50

1X18X20 $ 22.00

1X18X24 $26.25



Laminated cushions (densities glued together)

2X16X18 $41.00

3X16X18 $61.50

3X18X20 $77.25



I have attached a recommended seat configuration for the Kit Fox just to
give you some general information.
