towing handles (ground handling handles)

Post by Ralph Baker » Sun Feb 19, 2012 10:35 am

Jean,
The ground handling handles go in the rear of the fuselage just in front of the horizontal stabilizer. They provide just what you want, a means of lifting or pulling the fuselage without using the empennage. They come out both sides and are held in the fully retracted position when not in use. We have them in our Elite and while costly, I would definitely add them again. They are a bit of a pain to install but we are used to that. By all means install them before anything else inside the rear tailcone for maximum ease.
regards,
Ralph

What exactly is costly? Would not a tube installed for use with a portable,
i.e. wooden , handle work as well?
