Jason; It would take a lot of work to convert to Cessna seats.

[rebel-builders] Cessna seats in Moose?
[rebel-builders] Cessna seats in Moose?
Look at Ron K's Moose construction photos on Scott's site. I believe
those are C-207 seats. Not sure how the 172 seats compares but I know
the 207 rails are pretty close to same spacing as Moose rails so it
can be done.
I am not sure if this will chop off the link, you may have to copy and
paste this to get it to work. Otherwise just go to
www.goflyamoose.com look under construction photos then Ron Kakeldey's
at the bottom of that page.

Greetings all,
I've come across a set of late model Cessna 172 seats
for sale. Has anyone put Cessna seats in their SR or
Moose? I'm interested because these seats articulate
and have high backs with headrests.
I need to find out what the track width of Cessna
seats is? Anyone else installed them or toyed with the
idea?
Thanks, -Jason

[rebel-builders] Cessna seats in Moose?
Jason,
We did exactly that in our moose - put in two late model cessna 172 seats in the front. The modification that had to be done was on the bottom brackets of the seat legs that are held on by two solid rivets that the rollers are attached to (make the seats slide on the rails). The seat rails went in as per murphy spacing and we modded the cessna seats to fit (spacing differential is less than 1/2" between murphy and cessna). We made two new brackets out of steel per seat and riveted them back on the cessna seats (the new ones we made were on the side that did not have the "pin" going thru).
We are not at our shop in Ontario right now, but if you would like to contact us off-list in about three weeks, we should be back and be able to send pics. Actually, just went on the laptop and found a pic - sending to your yahoo address.....
Bottom line, it is do-able. A little work and presto, cessna seats.

[rebel-builders] Cessna seats in Moose?
Cessna seats fit very well. Rail spacing is about 11 5/8", 12" whatever,
close to Moose spacing. Installs well. Go to McFarlane and order the seat
rails that go with you year of seat. Works very well.
