I plan to replace mine with nylocks if I ever have them off again. You're
right, the cotter pins are a royal pain.

It will be interesting to see what others have done. It doesn't
really seem like the brass bushings in the aileron and flaps will ever
touch the bolt head or nut as the ride on the AIL-26 steel bushings,
unless of course it somehow seized onto the bushing and was able to
rotate it.
