Hi Walter

It was also a nice day at Arlington except for some rough air. There is a good chance we may get up your way in the late summer, as my friend Dick should have his Rebel flying in June or July and we both want to get up north. In the spring of 2007 we are planning a trip to S.E. Alaska, mayby you could join us.

Dick has been incorporating a number of my aerodynamic cleanup's to his Rebel, in particular the engine cowl. It is a work of art. The initial flight testing will be done with the standard Rebel flapron setup, then Dick will convert to my split flap setup. This should confirm my data as to which setup is better.

All of the structural mods have been done on his airframe and we designed a special engine bed mount that ties into a v brace to the upper cabin structure.Dick has done a good job in keeping things as lite as possible. This should compensate for the heaver 210 Hp six cyl Continental IO-360 and the 80 inch McCauley constant speed prop.( note Dick will limit the METO power to 180 HP through 6000 feet.)

This airplane should be a real Rebel Rocket.
