[rebel-builders] Murphy Website - Wayne's videos

Post by Walter Klatt » Sun Feb 19, 2012 10:27 am

That ski take-off was pretty feisty, but that grass one was a bit wimpy,
sort of like an ultralight with a real strong head wind. Landing was OK, but
when are you going to stop carrying power into the flare?

;o)))
Walter (gotta make sure I don't ever post any videos of mine now)

I can't play them direct from the site on dial up so I never listened to
them. They all had sound when I sent them, so if they don't now Kelly
stripped them.

You've been a busy little beaver along with Kelly. It's great to see the
site starting to be organic. The web can be so much more than what has
been going on in the past and the excitement will only build. I don't
know what happened to the sound on your clip but I'll go back to the
original and find out if I have it. I'll also send a clip to Kelly of
Bob Johnson's
missed approach or some would say "low and over" - the sound gets the
adrenaline running. Maybe they can use it later.
I also have a clip of Ryan Mowats Moose - we didn't get to fly - we
taxied over to the gas pumps but boy what an impressive plane. Ryan had
a couple of fowled plugs at the time but that M14 still sounds great.

Good work on all fronts.

Cheers
Jim

You're a funny guy Walter....that's why I'm going to kill you last.... :o)

Grass takeoff "wimpy"? Tail up before moving...off the ground in 225' and
going thru 200 feet after 800....

Landing with Power into the flare! You know what happens when you don't! LOL
