I have skis for the J3. Nice big board skis. That is actually going to be my
plan for next year, I think, to give both engines some running time. Leave
my Rebel on amphibs and fly the J3 on skis in the winter. That little 65
rusts up quick sitting. Unreal how quick the oil dip stick and filler neck
rusted. Probably will have to pack the runway with the JD350 draggin the
blade backwards though like I use to for when the F-n-law was flying his 701
on skis.......unlike the Rebel where I just give her up onto 3 feet of
powder and go!

Just pull a couple of those federals out of the shed and slap them on the
cub. Oh never mind driving would still be faster than flying ;) LOL

I'm not feeling bad at all now. Mine's still sitting on Amphibs! Would
really like to make it up to the lake to check the cottage though, but I
guess driving both ways is less time than gear change overs!

Thanks for the updates. Looks like a bad year for ski flying Wayne. The
problem down here is not much snow and what's here is heavilly drifted.
I
installed my skis a couple weeks ago and haven't been out with them
yet. I
