Pretty sure MAM has a US address they use for the USA guys kits.
Pre-arranged brokerage etc. Maybe you can visit the plant and then pick your
stuff up already across the border!

I'm going to Seattle mid March to pick up a shinny new aircraft :-)
I'm able to bring back a little more then the usual 32kgs bags as we
have an empty hold good for 50T. ;-)
Would like to drive up to MAM and pick up the M14 FWF kit , headliner
and any other outstanding bits.
Any tricks to US customs, especially since I'm effectively re-exporting
to Dubai?
Regards,
Warren

Thanks for your advice. Now to see if MAM can get the goods ready in time.
The delivery was initially the end of March due to the strike but has
been brought fwd and caught me off guard.
Anyone have an M14 FWF order position they'd be willing to defer?

Make sure you let MAM know that you want a copy of the customs paperwork
when you leave with your parts... that way you don't have to worry about
whether they're waiting at the border where you cross. When I picked my kit
up they "sent it ahead" to the border... problem was the paperwork was at
the Washington border, and I was 1500 miles away at the Alaska border!

Hi Warren,
I have not had any issues with US customs driving through the Sumas border
crossing. MAM will give you the proper paper work, be sure to ask for it. My
understanding is the US allows aircraft parts with no tariffs, when you get
home that's another story.
