I just place some thin foam between lift and the bottom of the wing surface.
The drywall jack works well since it is on wheels and has a handy wheel that
is turned to crank the wing up and down gently. It makes it easy to align
everything up just right and turns the job into an easy two man operation.
One guy steadies the wing and the other works the jack. There is no lifting
in the somewhat awkward position that is normally required to install and
remove wings when using the arm-strong method. As a result, it is a much
safer and more pleasant task.
