Archive site passwords

I've gotten a couple of e-mails recently from folks who were unable to log
into personal accounts on the archive site because their passwords were
being rejected... I may have figured out what the problem is.

Apparently the current release on the system will not accept mixed case
passwords. You can enter your password however you wish when you set your
account up... the system takes what ever you enter and stores it in the
database in all CAPS. Now when you log into the system you can enter your
password either in all CAPS or all lower case. But if you try to enter it
in mixed case (both CAPS and lower case) the system will reject it.

I know that good passwords have a mixture of letters, numbers, special
characters and both upper and lower case. But until we get this figured
out, please use one or the other.

Remember, it doesn't matter if you created the account with mixed case, your
password should work just fine as long as you enter it all in one case.

That was the case for me. I had a multi-case password.
