Hoping to meet some other Rebel - Elite - Moose builders trying to get warm
at Sun n Fun.

Unfortunately, due to a schedule conflict we have to fly down the weekend
before the show opens, (Friday, March 31) and fly home on Wednesday, April 5.
Bob, you mentioned a builder's get together. Any chance of making it on
Tuesday?

Hope to see lots of Murphy builders down there!

Hi Jean !

Anna & I are planning to drive down - will likely arrive either
Sunday night, or Monday morning.... leave Friday, I guess ....

Suspect many will be there by Monday night anyway ... still
digging on timing for a Builders Get-Together. Any other thoughts on
a meeting place ???? Maybe the 'suburban' Margaritaville in the
campground might be better for conversation .... ???

We really should settle on somewhere on the grounds that we
can meet during the day, and leave messages .... any thoughts !

Hi Bob

I will be happy to meet the angel who live with a beer addict like you! ha
ha ha I could probably have the engine work shop for the meeting and it
could be the place were people let message too. My friend Raymond Fiset is
always there.... we let him a small scrapbook for message and it is done
( it is also close to the margarita if some people want to bring in some
food..
Let me know (thursday night look to be a good time)

We plan to go from the Ottawa area to Sun'n'Fun around April 6, and have two
vacant seats in a PA30, but we won't be coming back until the 23rd, as we're
going on down to Panama on the 10th. If anybody is interested in one way,
or can find something to do in Florida for two weeks, we can talk.

Hi Jean !

I was thinking of something a bit more casual than other years,
since Murphy won't be there ... That's why the cornroast at the
campground, with it's small version of Margaritaville (a trailer),
sounded good. Right now, Tuesday or Wednesday are looking best.
Or maybe we should have 2 or 3 evenings - for different groups,
or those of us who are thirsty !! :-) ...again, the corn roast
is easy - it's on every night.

We have to head back Friday or so .... have a business seminar
here on the Saturday (might not make it... ;-) )

Guess we still have a couple of months - keep the suggestions
coming ! In between, we have a Murphy Builders Meeting coming
on Sunday, March 12th at Brampton Airport. Sounds like several
people are working hard on their airplanes, and trying for the
Copper Cleco Trophy !! :-)

......bobp

...... oh, and Anna says thanks for calling her an angel !
Although some might disagree ..... ;-)

Jean Poirier

Sun'Fun...

Post by Jean Poirier » Sun Feb 19, 2012 10:39 am

Hello,

To all of you who were at the "get toghether" last tuesday night, I arrived at 23:00... a bit late.... Have been there from april 4 (23:oo hres) to tuesday 11. The only other Rebel guy I meet is Dale McCrum! I have spend half my time in the engine workshop helping Ray Fiset. Nothing really new there except may be the Deltahawk diesel ready for this summer, and as usual a lots of avionics.... Weather was absolutely fantastic (a bit hot for a me).

attendance was lower than last year (which was lower than the year before). But may be it was good for making business!

I have found a complete exaust system of a Cessna 152 ( yellow tagged) in very good shape for $400.00 Also a split nose bowl of PA-22 (fiberglass) brand new from Nick Smith (who manufacture Cub copy) for $250.00 cdn ( wag-aero list $269.00 usd for a one piece one). A carb heat box like new for $25.00 usd! And as usual couple of tools....

The only unfortunate things have been the meething I missed! But that is life, it will be more fun next year!

Fun.... A guy in the LSA area have start an engine(not permit), lost the control of the airplane who hit a Toyota pick-up.... police, security etc Imagine the mess

Fun.... A ground control guy make sign a T-6 guy to stop, the guy push trottle and hit a JohnDeere Gator with his prop!!!!

Fun.... no crash this year

Fun... A grass fire start under a Massaretti.... 5 completely burn car and 12 more sufffering damages!

Really fun, in thoses "accidents", no one injured

Jean
