Hi All
I'm trying to find the current owner of the yellow and white rebel on 1800
amphibs on the MAM site
http://www.murphyair.com/Product_Info/Floats/Specs.htm
It was originally N94YK, s/n 350R, and was transferred to Canada in 2000.
On the Canadian registration database the only MAM aircraft with 350 as the
s/n is a Renegade Spirit (C-IFWH) !
Anyone know where it is now ?
Thanks
Nigel

I'd like to know how it went to Canada in 2000 as we couldn't import US
homebuilts at that time.!? The picture is also on 1500 amphibs...the
original set that ended up on FOKM... that I stretched to 1800's if I'm not
mistaken. The Husband and wife team's name escapes me right now. McKenzie?

Hi Wayne
In the US it was listed as ANNE CYPHER YANNOTTI in Oregon as the owner until
cancellation due transfer in 2000.
If the floats are now on FOKM then it's a dead trail for me anyhow :-)

Still don't know how it would have been transferred to Cdn Registry in

Hi Nig !
Been busy with the Murphy Builders Meeting today - good turnout, and
lots of useful info exchanged, as usual !
That Rebel was built by Anne Yannotti (& Denny Kindig) - that's
where the "YK" in the registration came from. Wayne's right - those
floats are the original factory prototype 1500 amphibs. They were
loaned to Annie & Denny so they could fly to South America - a trip that
was cancelled when they got to Florida, because of an urgent business
change that took them home to Oregon... Several aviation writers did
get to fly the Rebel on amphibs before they left, though.
The floats went back to the factory, and ended up being installed
on FOKM in 1996. Wayne later reworked them into 1800's, and sold them
to Garry, along with FOKM. The Rebel might well have come into Canada
at the same time as the floats, but, AFAIK, was never registered here.
To the best of my memory, it was shipped to Russia, to become the first
homebuilt Rebel to be registered there !!
Just a bit curious as to why you were looking for them --- or were
you just looking for a set of built amphibs ?? I'm sure Wayne could
supply a set ! :-)

Thanks Bob / Wayne
Just trying to add a few more accountable hours to my 1800 amphib
application with the UK authorities.
I've already reached their 2500 hr fleet target, and the 300 hr single use
figure, but that's only over 11 aircraft and they would like closer to 25 as
a fleet size.
I've also mailshot quite a few owners who are not on the list, so I'll wait
till the end of January to give them a chance to get back to me before I
submit my application.
MAM do not keep a simple record of who has ordered the floats , so getting a
list from them would involve a lot of work at their end. Thankfully the
internet has allowed me to track down quite a few from here.
Thanks again for the info.
