Latex / nitrile gloves

Post by Ralph Baker » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:41 pm

My experience is that nitrile hold up a little better wiagainst epoxy solvents. However, I would not use either one with any solvent without first coating my hands with Invisible Gloves. It is advertised to protect against skin absorbtion of everything up to and including MEK. Available from ACS.

Remember, you have only one set of kidneys and liver to give for your project.

Latex / nitrile gloves

I second that. I don't know about other solvents but I saw a presentation by
the Poly-Fiber rep a Oshkosh and he told the crowd that polyurethane
absolutely would penetrate latex gloves. He advised always using Invisible
Gloves. It's a cheap and easy extra level of protection.
