After seeing Bob's 3rd seat I was wondering is it as practical to put in the Elite? I don't plan on going on floats anytime soon and using a 180hp. Is there really enough allowance to create a 4 seat rebel and make it work? What size person goes in that back seat or 3rd seat?

3rd seat
3rd seat
I could sit in the back of mine before I upholstered the seats. My daughters
can still sit back there..20 and 17 yrs old and about 5' 6 or so. I have/had
four fully adjustable seats in mine using a second seat of MAM seats and
rails (and full shoulder/lap harnesses). I removed one seat when I went to
floats to get rid of 10 lbs.... knowing it couldnt' be used for anything but
baggage retention.
The Elite is a little deeper in the rear area..so that's a plus.
I would not want to sit sideways for anything but a quick shuttle from one
field to another that where a few miles apart....and sitting in that
position is going to be rough on you in a crash.

If need be bend the rail to fit the transition and rivet it down to as many
bulkheads as you can catch. All the Rebels are that way for the front seats!
Another option is what Bob White is (having me) putting into his Elite. Got
a nice boat seat that has quick connect slider rails. Putting one set of
mounting brackets in behind the co-pilot seat and a spare set back in the
tailcone to snap it into when not needed and wanting to carry baggage. Seat
belt attached to the seat frame so it comes out with it. I would rather
belts attached to fus structure...but his call.

railsWayne,
What do you think, if I just want to add a 3rd seat does it work out ok to
have it behind the right seat only, kind of like you explained here? Add a
set of rails right behind the copilot. I have to look but I think the
cabin, would be sitting on tail cone skin which is at a slight angle to the
andwouldn't I want to shim them to make level?
Thanks,
Mike Betti
