cutting windows

Hi all,

What's the best way to cut/trim the acrylic windows on
the Moose?

I have the following: Dremel tool, hacksaw, sander,
sheet metal shears.

I DON'T have a bandsaw.

Any ideas?

I would not want to try and build one of these without a bandsaw. It's one
of the most used tools in my shop. I shudder to think about all those weird
shaped gussets everywhere and no bandsaw. Quick - update your Christmas
list!

I do all my L&P Acrylic windshields with nothing but a Dremel and 1 1/2"
cutting wheel. It cuts and smooths as it goes....and I have never cracked
one yet (knock on wood)... out of the dozen or so I've installed.

LexanT side windows is another story. Pneumatic shear, tin snips and file
the edges clean. Drill all your mounting holes (if in the window) to locate
and then go back and drill a couple bit sizes over for expansion and so the
expanding rivets don't induce pressure on the plastic
