Rebel for sale on eBay

Post by Terry McClary » Fri Feb 17, 2012 8:34 pm

I was looking in eBay earlier this evening and found a completed Rebel
for sale. Located in Idaho, I think. The N number has been covered in
the photos but the ad states the airplane had been featured in Kitplane.

Rebel for sale on eBay

Terry,

If your interested in that Rebel, I live only a few miles from northern Idaho
panhandle. I could look it up or check it out, if it was not far.

Rebel for sale on eBay

Post by Terry L McClary » Fri Feb 17, 2012 8:34 pm

Bruce,

I have more than I can handle with the Rebel that is in the basement.
Just not enough hours in the day. I do want to say I appreciate the
offer to go look at it for me though. I put it on the Rebel list because
I know their are people trying to decide what they are going do that
subscribe to the list.

Thanks again for the offer and sorry to take so long to respond. My
system was infected by an email worm that was attached to a document a
friend sent. Been rebuilding things for 2 weeks.

Rebel for sale on Ebay

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:18 pm

Sure I can Mike...If I have a 25 Knot tail wind!

I regularily saw 100 KNOTS on the GPS flying south from the cottage this
summer when wound out pretty good and a slight "breeze" behind me. Never did
nail down a speed to call cruise...but I do know it flies faster on the
amphibs than it does on the hydraulic wheel skis! Who would have thought!

Pretty sure I could flight plan 90 Knots being pulled by my warp and 150
Lyco.

Now that I pulled up the auction. That's Les's machine and he's giving it
away at that price!

I think he just put Knots in place of his A/S actual that reads in MPH.

I even thought of you Steve when I posted this... I'd be surprised if
there's anybody out there with a faster Rebel amphib than you. That was the
reason for the smiley face at the end of my post... I've always enjoyed a
little fiction.

Rebel for sale on Ebay

Post by Brian Breathnach » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:18 pm

Hi All,
Went on Ebay to take a look at the Rebel then signed off. Within seconds my
firewall popped up to let me know it had "detected and removed a Trojan 5
virus" from the EBay contact.
Careful out there
