Great pictures Ted. I can imagine what a spectacular trip that was.

To Walter...I have been practicing flying at your nose bleed altitudes for my next trip up to your place. I'm getting better at it particularly when over what I consider hostile terrain.

Pictures from our Alaska trip

Post by Fred Messinger \(fredm\) » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:58 am

That story was just downright troubling. What was up with that group of
bears? Just hungry?

I think I'll fly my yet-to-be Moose over Boston. At least if I crash
the folks arriving on the scene to help won't want to eat me. (I don't
think)

Everyone had warned this Californian that he was playing with fire for the
last decade with the bears. Unfortunate that he brought his girlfriend with
him this trip...she was the only tragedy...he was an asshole.

Pictures from our Alaska trip

Post by Mike Davis » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:58 am

That's pretty much the sentiment from those I know here in Alaska. Kind of
like the 5000 Californians who moved up here for a year to try and push gun
control laws. We like things just the way they are up here... if you don't
like it, by yourself a T-shirt and GO HOME! Bears may eat you, and you may
need to shoot them to protect yourself... duh!
