Builders,
I'm at the point where I am to chromate and rivet the floor, bulkheads,
carrythrough, wing roots, and side sills. I just mated the tail cone and
working on roof skin now. Can the side sills be riveted on now as the
manual says or should they be left in clecos. I don't like too many
suprises.

Mike,
Before you rivet the floor bulkheads and floor (including the rear
floor) plan your fuel system and any antenna and power leads you wish to
run under the floor.

Best to run pull strings through all the places where you think
you might want power or antenna leads in addition to pulling the
fuel lines. Also plan where your pitot is going to be located and
pull those wires also.

Mike:

Remember you need a pre-closing inspection on the floor before you rivet it.
Also, if you plan on using floats, and might go to Montana floats instead of
Murphy, their rear attach point has to be put in before you close the floor.

Further to what the others have said, figure out outher services, e.g.
battery cables, hydraulic lines, etc. The floor's not actually supposed to
be riveted until you finish the controls that go down there.

Thanks Al,
I looked ahead in the book and found the part or installing the floor after
the controls are in.
Does anyone have a written summary of building one of this airplanes? Like
install wings now, then install gear, etc.......... Just a basic summary. I
was looking ahead and the manual shows the wings going on before alot of the
fuselage stuff is done. Is the manual still the best order?
