push rod shaft for trim

Post by bscheube » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:36 am

Hello all,

my question for today is about a shaft that goes over the stainless steel push
rod on the servo for the trim. I remember reading about this (am typing this
from work so cannot reference the man.) What is this part that I need? I am
going to try and pick it up on the way home (want to close the rudder tonight
and forgot to look it up this morning on the way out). Any reply will save me
a 40 mile trip back to denver tonight.
Thanks.
Bob Scheuber Moose/191

Also congrats on the new/ rebuilt planes I have seen on this site, they all
serve as incentive to work harder on my own.

I stuck a piece of 1/4" OD tubing over mine to beef it up. The trim rod,
that is.

We just scrounged around Sun&Fun for a piece of seamless aluminum tubing
that would just allow the shaft to pass through. It was cut to length
after trim adjustment and will be secured with some silicon seal during
flyoff after adjustment is confirmed.
