brake fittings

Post by Jones, Michael » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:27 am

hi all

to quiet this week, anybody out there

so i am using the supplied brass fittings and the nyflow (white tubing)
lines for my brake system

question is as follows, when i tighten the fittings on the caliper and
master cylinders they point in the wrong direction, i dont want to over
tighten theses fittings and brake a caliper, had that happen by an ame on a
c-150 i owned, so if i run a die over the brass fittings will it do anything
in terms of taking some metal off and let me tighten the fittings more

thanx

Hi Mike Just back off the fitting and retighten each time it will turn a
little farther. If you have a long way to go take the fitting out and clean
the threads. Using a tap or die removes too much metal.
