stringers

Mike, where do you live? I'll have the same order shipping to Central CA
soon, and $100 (or $250) for shipping a 15' piece of pipe seems awfull steep
(although gas prices here have been creeping into the avgas range!)

Ok........so I ordered a stringer from Montana float. He only had the
heavier ones for a moose but MAM said no problem using one. Freight from
MAM
was $250. Freight from MT $100. I'll just have to suck it up, hopefully it
will be my last screw up.............right

Hi Mike !

It won't be THAT painful !! In any case, don't just order ONE -
make it 2 or 3, just in case !!!! If you don't need them for the wings,
you can cut them up & use for stiffeners in many other areas ....

I woud not recommend TWO splices in a stringer - what's your
life worth ??!!

I'm in Upper MI in the states. I can't imagine what it would cost me to
get
one here. I talked to Robin at MAM and he thought a splice would work
but
was going to consult Daryl next week and let me know. If that doesn't
pan
out maybe I will try Montana float.
Thanks,
