SR/M Seat rails

Post by jtpackard » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:05 am

Question regarding seat rail length and location. Photos I've seen show the
SR seat rails going from station 3 to station 8. Mine are a few inches
short of this (52" long). I'm trying to decide where to start/end their
location. I'm thinking of having them end at sta 8, next to the cargo door.
Any recommendations?

SR/M Seat rails

Tom,
That is what I did. A few inches back from station 3 and end right on top
of station 8. Mine are also 52 " long. I have seen some start on top of
station 3 but I played with it and my seats would never need to be that far
forward. Also it is nice to have the rear seat go right back to the cargo
door.

SR/M Seat rails

Post by jtpackard » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:06 am

Thanks for the response Scott:
Yesterday, I called MAM and talked to Robin. He said that for the 52"
ones, they have been adding short sections to the aft end. This allows you
to tie the rails into station 3 for more structural strength. He is sending
me some 6" pieces to add on.
