Radiator for my V8

I have been looking for something off-the-shelf to use for my radiator for
my Chevy installation. The problem is that I need something with the cap
deleted and preferably a threaded connection instead of a push on tube
fitting. I found something that might work (once I take some measurements).
It's a transmission cooler. B&M makes a very nice unit with 1/2 inch NPT
fittings, a 12 volt fan, and mounting brackets that look like they would do
very nicely. It's not big enough so I would need two, but otherwise it
seems perfect. Any opinions on whether this might work. Otherwise, I guess
I'm looking at a custom radiator made to my specs at great cost I'm sure.

you're looking for already, I'm sure they would make it for you.

You might find something in the stock car racing world, it is not uncommon to
have a emote resevoir/pressure tank with a cap on it. I'm currently working on
a piece of equipment that uses a "Moroso" brand expansion tank with a setup like
that. moroso.com

For suppliers, Harrison is one, Ron Davis is another
(http://www.rondavisradiators.com/Radiators.htm), see the Chevy no fill type,
model 1A-31163N and Howe Racing Ent (HRE)
(http://www.howeracing.com/Radiators/Index-Radiators.htm). Howe says they have
80 standard types, all TIG welded!

Electric fans are common for these applications too so I expect you can find
something that will suit your needs.

And now to reply to my reply ;^0

OK, I was looking more at the Howe site and they have AN fittings for the hoses.
And now for those who want a liquid heater but don't want it to be on the same
circuit as the engine coolant Howe has heat exchangers that fit into one of the end
tanks. This gives you a liquid to liquid heat exchanger for a cabin heat source.

BTW, I have seen a bunch of Howe gear around the racetrack and it is well engineered
and well made. They are one of the leading short track stock car chassis &
component manufacturers in the states and essentially invented the business of the
factory engineered chassis for the late model category. I guess what I am trying to
say is they should be a supplier you can trust.
