Post by Gilles St-Pierre » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:05 am

somebody suggested istalling a 1 in square tubing across the bottom of the
dash to tie both sides of the carrythrough. we already did all 4 front
corner wraps with 0,040 in/ 6061 T6 and V braced from wing attachent points
to where the dash V braces attach to the firewall

Elite front stiffening

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:05 am

Your post also reminded me of this one. It was first asked to everyone and
then you added my name on top and reposted! I prefer not to be asked direct,
leaving me to answer if I chose...as this isn't my forum/mail list and very
shortly will not be spending much (if any) time on this list.

I have never seen where anybody suggested a 1" square tube across the bottom
of the panel. Making a panel extension to mount your throttle/mixture etc to
yes....but a square tube no.

MAM Float "fix" gussets at the door post tops, my suggested double row of
rivets up the door post, firewall plates, "stringer" or angle from side
panels witches hat along upper motor mount doubler to the firewall, gussets
on top deck at panel bends (if using the standard rectangular panel).

Cheers,
Wayne
