Moose Flap / Aileron Rigging

Post by Don Boardman » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:54 am

Hi Guys,

Ryan Mowat and I think others have recommended eliminating the 5 degrees
reflex in the Moose's flaps. Tomorrow we hope to finish up the installation
of the flap system by setting the fuselage torque tube.

A couple of questions:

1. We are installing the torque tube that runs across the inside of the
fuselage. Do we remove the 5 degrees when installing the torque tube?
I believe this would mean the flap bottoms (aft 2/3rds) and wing bottoms are
flush and the ends of the torque tube are perpendicular to the floor

2. When setting the ailerons to neutral do we also remove the 5 degrees so
they match the flaps?

Thanks in advance
Don B.
