Echo Bay - Bad News

Post by rebel » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:27 am

Our trip this weekend has been cancelled. There is a big storm coming in
tomorrow with 70-90 km/h winds forecast for that area along with loads of
rain. Oh well, at least no one travelled from afar to join us. I was really
looking forward again to this one, though. Sure hope now it doesn't suddenly
clear up for Saturday...

Yup, I'll drive by there Friday morning for our briefings, and then head
out
from the Langley airport straight to Echo Bay. See you then.

Hi Walter,
I was planning to be at Fort Langley, 10 to 11 am Friday. I have not
heard
the plan for meeting up, when were you leaving? The weather does not
look
great, I'm not asking the big guy, saving that request for IMC with the
back door closed.

I will be there along with a few others from the Vancouver area. Bruce
G
is
coming from Spokane and planning to meet up with me in Langley
tomorrow
afternoon, Thursday. When are you planning to be here, Al?

Anybody got any pull with the big guy up there and the weather?

Sorry to hear Walter...glad I didn't make that 25 to 30 hour trip to get
stuck out there beside you staring into the sky ! Always "Better to be on
the ground wishing you were flying... than flying wishing you were on the
ground"! Cheers, Wayne
