Replacement Parts - Rebel

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:26 am

Just a heads up for anyone that happens to screw up some parts in the
future. It will probably backfire on me, and someone will come along next
month wanting the full kit, but I am going to do the repairs to Howard's
airplane using the cabin area fuselage parts from the full Rebel kit I've
had here for 9 years. This will leave all the tailfeather parts (Sorry
Angus..but didn't have a crystal ball when you needed them!), rear fuselage
cone parts and both wings for future repairs or builders needing replacement
parts. I already have the flaperons built and under the bench if anyone is
interested in those prebuilt and wants to do a raw parts and $$$ exchange
for them

If anyone has a parts need..... get a current quote from MAM and then
contact me to see what we can work out as a price.

Cheers,
Wayne

Wayne, are those AULA parts. As far as tail feathers and flaperons, I assume
they're the same in either case. What kind of price are you looking for!!!

Replacement Parts - Rebel

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:27 am

Aurele..AULA kit actually...but nothing is any different on the 1650...other
than the main wing spar I have is .050 instead of .063 and the rear spar has
lightening holes in it. The flaperons I have are totally finished, if I
remember right..but of course not covered. The tail feathers are still in
kit form and can be built as either fabric or aluminum covered. I have a set
of elevator/rudder skins here as well for it.

If I get some time tomorrow I will have a look at the time that was involved
into the flaperons + their material costs and send you a personal email.

Cheers,
Wayne

DARN it WAYNE
I've been tossing it back and forth for a couple of weeks to offer the extra
set of wings I have for a parts a $$ trade. I ended up buying them off of
him in court. Still have a lien on the fusalage to settel in court in a few
weeks. Any body considering a set of built wings would probably do better with
Wayne and the $ exchange rate.

Replacement Parts - Rebel

Phil, don't let me stop you. Offer the suckers up for sale so you can recoup
some of your losses from the bugger you built them for!

I just figure if someone needs certain parts.... that they may have buggered
up.... I am an option for replacement. Probably dumb of me to part this kit
out into Howard's rebuilt, etc...but I know I'll never get around to
building it into an airplane and nobody seems to want to buy a kit from
anywhere but the factory. Seems to be a mind set that they must buy direct
or they aren't getting the same thing or support. Same stupidity is going on
with people ordering prebuilt 1800 amphibs from the factory...paying big
dollars + crating + shipping and waiting a year + to get them.... when they
can just drop by here with a trailer and leave me $27,500Cdn CASH and leave
with a full set.... without waiting longer than it takes to load them!

Cheers,
Wayne
