espceialy never use it on instrument plumbing. I use "Fuel lube" which can
be bought in the US from any of the aircraft suppliers (Aircraft Spruce,
Aviall, Sacramento Sky Ranch) Use it sparingly and start it 2 threads down
from the end. Flared fittings do not need a sealant.
Firewall forward Fuel & Oil fittings and lines should be steel to preclude
cracks froming. However fierwall to the engine needs to be flexable
aircraft hose (mil-spec 6000) or maybe stainless steel braided fuel hoses
from racing cars.
Always check the hoses for the type of fuel you will be useing, to make
sure that they are compatible and the fuel will not attack the material.
I also recomend that you do not use copper lines (oil pressure indicator)
as copper has a tendency to work harden and break.
If useing US aircraft fittings keep in mind that they are flared to 37
degrees weheras automotive is 45 degrees, do not mix as you will have a
leak. Sorry I don't know about metric.

theHi there!
Working on engine installation have a question concerning the fittings
,reducers, elbows made from aluminium, brass,or steel: What kind of sealing
material or lubricant (if any ?? ) is useful . Normaly for water or
air pressure installations i use hemp or teflon tape.
To Ken: I build my firewall back 3 " ,torque tube on the cage and ordered
Doug Martinmore bended control sticks from Murphy .I had to shorten them 1,5 ". I think
they will work nice.
