Amphib wavy washers

Post by Walter Klatt » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:16 am

I'm starting to get a shimmy again on my front wheels on my
amphibs, and likely need to replace my wavy washers. I can add
another regular washer to tighten up the whole works temporarily,
but assume the old ones are wearing out and should be replaced.

Anybody know where I can get them besides MAM?

Walter

Amphib wavy washers

Yeah, that's what I am planning until I can get more of the wavy
ones. I did that at the beginning, and it worked fine until
recently, so am assuming that they must be weakening with wear. I
do have over 200 hours on them now, and almost all on pavement.

Walter,

I added a regular washer to tighten mine and haven't
had any more problems
with shimmy.
