I wish I had an idea for you to try Don, but I just don't have a clue. I
have considered moving to new software, but we've got so much time invested
in the current archives, I hesitate to do it. I suppose we could just start
using something different, and keep the old archive site just the way it is.
This software package has the best flexibility I've seen though.

I do run a forum site with images for my R/C club though... this would be
the type of software I would be interested in using, but it's a totally
different feature set. You can take a look at it at:

http://www.dcsol.com/msrc

Let me know what you think. If you guys like the looks of it, I'll do a
quick run down of what we would gain and lose switching over.

Maddog Access

Post by mike.davis » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:13 am

Glad to hear it... I have had several people in the past who could not access
the system on port 81. Unfortunately, there's really no way around that at
the moment. There's been talk of allowing this software package to function
under the native web server on the system, but for now I must use the built in
web server... two web servers on the same IP address means one of them must be
on a non-standard port. I initially configured the SSL support because this
allowed connection on an industry standard port, but for some reason this is
not working right now... and I have not been able to track down the problem.
To complicate that issue, it started happening on two different systems in two
different locations at the same time. This leads me to believe that the
problem is with the latest round of Micro$oft updates, and not anything that
has changed on the system.

I guess while I'm thinking on that line... is there anybody out there who can
still connect to the following link?

https://www.dcsol.com/login?mode=HTML

Thanks, Mike

This link times out using Netscape 7.1 on W2k but it does work verrrry slowly with
NS 4.7 on the same W2k machine for what that is worth. After I go to photos and
click the two from the last 7 days all I get is: "The requested URL was not
found" though. This is on dial up from home and at the office the normal login
page times out as well with W2k & NS 7.1
