Port 81 is not something that is normally blocked. Many ISP's are starting
to block more and more of the non-standard ports though to try and cut down
on hacking and virus vulnerability. Our last round of updates has been
completed, so I've contacted the programmer to see if he can resolve the
problem with SSL. Of course all of this could be resolved if I just had a
rich uncle die and leave me lots of money! I have a DSL line to the house,
and I can only have one IP address on it... this means to run two different
web servers on the same IP address, one of them has to be on a non-standard
port. Or, when it's working properly... one on SSL. Hopefully I'll hear
something soon from the programmer and be able to get the SSL function
working again.

Mike,
I know your juggling three apples, two oranges and a pear and doing a
great job hosting this site and others. However there appears to be a
number of us that can't, for reasons none of us seem to be able to
figure out, access the site. This is unforunate and frustrating at this
end, especialy when so many do seem to be able to get in and it worked
in the past.
Something has changed of late, possibley with the latest round of
viruses? How do we ensure port 81 is not blocked? Is this user defined
or an ISP setting? Hopefully we can all get this sorted and have access
to the wealth of info that you've archived.
