Rebel manual say with can (optional) trim the W-138 spar cap to reduce weight........ What do you think about it?

Hi Jean

Well yes we may later regret any missed oportunities to save weight.
However I think you are talking about the 1/4" thick x 1" straps and I
never did find an easy way to trim them. You can file those for hours or
sand even longer before you'll notice much weight reduction so I did
not think it was worth the effort...

I found Wray's rewritten Wing manual helpful and better than MAM's. It
helps avoid some problems that tend to develop.
