Jean.....the cheapest option (and probably the best working set up) is
to
go

Beechcraft. The AULA Rebel that I am refurbing right now has a set, that

Subject: DUAL BRAKE

When I ordered my rebel kit, I did'nt ordered the dual brake kit.
But now I think it will be a good idea to have dual (no time yet on
tail
wheel). MAM list the dual kit at $375.00 usd. In the manual, the
plan
show the plan/instruction for dual retrofit or single set of brake
pedal.
The only difference I can see, is just couple of tube, small brachets,
cotter pin, bolt etc.... The $375.00 is like a warning light to me....
do I missed something? If not, I will fabricate thoses parts and
save....
I am building a Rebel but I know someone wuo is building a Elite, do
they
have the same brakes pedal? If it is the same, I can use his parts for
copy? Someone cant hel me..... I am waithing the firts inspection
(tail,
aileron) and I want to finish those parts (final rivething, trim
installation) before to start the wings. So if it is too long, I will
make
the brake parts until.

Sorry Wayne, But I'm not getting the crying towel out just yet. I don't know
of to many situations where, when one works for oneself and still finds the
time to play at his hobbie along with helping the rest of us. But you are
right. My wife Olga and I owned and operated a small Marina near Parry Sound
for 10 years, and although we enjoyed it , there was no time for ourselves.
I couldn't even entertain the idea of building the Rebel until after we sold
and moved. We do miss it though - crazy I guess. Sorry guys for getting off
topic, but I couldn,t resist. - BobJ Rebel "652"

It's probably more likely the "second guessing" (and not the body slowing)
from doing wings so many times I'm afraid I'll miss something and close up
to soon!

I retired Friday from my "real" job Jean...so now I'll have no time at all !
:o(( Three company's Government year ends to process, office stuff to move
home, Howard's plane to get finished rebuilding before end of month (good
luck!)... so that I have April to do my own float installation, docks to
build.. etc. Now my '98 GMC plow truck blew the alternator this morning,
son's car is sick, wife is sick...it just goes on and on and on! BUT..... if
I see day light at the end of the tunnel I just might make the run to SnF in
the Motor home (and it will probably die as well!). Pessimist.....who... me?

What are the dates this year for SnF??

you're being pretty generous IMHO. You have a few :) wing builds in

Got back from Florida on Thursday afternoon, would like to say it was
nice to meet Bob P. in person, it was also nice to talk to Robin in
person also. It gave me the urge to get mine done so I can fly instead
of renting now. It was also was great to see Doug Bechel's moose also
very nice work he did on his aircraft the picture I seen before don't do
it justice. Guess I better get off the computer and get to work. Dale

Sun N Fun

Post by hank » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:24 pm

Sun N Fun is a little over a week away and I have seen very little chatter
about who's going and if the Rebel group is going to meet at the Corn Roast.
I plan to bring my new Rebel down. I have less than two hours left on my
restrictions and look forward to the trip to Lakeland. The weather pattern
has been a series of a few clear but windy days followed by several days of
low clouds and rain. Hope we get a couple days of good weather next week.
