Back Orders- Murphy (Elaine)

This is a responce that my building partner sent to Lonben about the problems
with back ordered parts from Murphy. It took us about four weeks just to make
sure that our parts were even on order to be sent. Hope everything has
changed? ? ? For the better! ! ! !


Thanks for the head's-up. Steve Halvorsen and I decided months ago (when we
heard that MAM was slow pay to their vendors) to push MAM for all our
backorder. Steve took the ball and bugged Elaine and everyone else. Just
received two days ago a shipment from MAM. We will inventory the shipment
this weekend. MAM told me a couple weeks ago that everything backordered for
our quickbuild Moose (except a tank) was available and would be shipped.

Although we are not yet ready, we ordered for delivery the MP-14 engine and
all the parts we thought we needed. We have plenty of warehouse space and do
not need to be delayed as you were.

As a practicing CPA with many manufacturing clients I do not think that MAM is
being evasive or really screwed up. They are just growing at a speed greater
than their management abilities. The main reason (I hope) is that they have
such a great product and can not keep up with demand.

I think others will be happier if they follow-up on their backorders as you
have done.

We just ordered several parts from Murphy for our
Rebel we are constructing, and received them in one
week with no discrepancy. We need their support and I
hope they are around for a long time!
