Subject: Re: More Spring Gear Questions!
40
Above this line of text I have tried to cut and paste figure 14.1.17, step
itof my 18/12/01 spring gear section. Not sure how it will come through.
Anyway, I also have wondered how to install Fus-35. I have not installed
betweenor the lower fus-40 skins yet. My plan is to install (sandwich) fus-35
ridfus-40 and SG-13. I also made a new fus-40 out of .032 full length to get
(about evenof the packer strip. I placed my .032 fus-40 between fus-7 and the carry
through tubes. I was then going to start fus-35 at the aft end of fus-7
fromwith the aft end the square carry through tubes) which will keep it away
othersthe spring gear saddles.
I have not assembled this yet so I have been keeping quiet to see what
ishave done, but there are not that many spring gear rebels on the list so I
will throw this out for you to think on, or further confuse you!
Please feel free to send me an email off the list if further explanation
concern?needed.

It seems like every time I go to the garage, I end up with MORE questionsthan answers. I am STUCK!
1. Do you have any photos of this particular plate layering area of
.063"2. Since your FUS-35 angles are on the outside of ALL of the plates, are
they 3/4" x 3/4" OR are they 3/4" x 1" to compensate for the double
shedplate thickness at the forward end?
3. Do you have an extra (.040) packer material under the gear saddles?
I hope that my explaination of this is clear and hope that you might
tosome more light on how your spring gear packers, plates and saddles are

Thanks AGAIN in advance!
