For about $10 CND you can go wrong.

What are the length of your balance arms?

Hey Peter, have a look here. For $6 might be worth a try to see if the

clear the wing bottom in full flap and aileron roll. Might need to add
a bit
of weight, but these are nicely streamline and you can probably slip a
bit
more weight in side and just rivet this to a rib area!

weights for Peter's flaperons

I'll measure them tomorrow. 70K gusts and I can't see the shop (22 feet from
the kitchen window) let alone the hangar right now! These arms look more
than sufficient for sure though.. since they will mount to the LEdge and
mine start back at the hinge pivot.

weights for Peter's flaperons

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Sat Feb 18, 2012 8:52 am

Peter, the distance from the hinge point to about the middle of my weight is
6". Considering the set on Ebay is 10" long probably will work out great! I
did put some more thought to these and you will not be able to mount them at
the leading edge.... as it disappears to far up behind the rear spar with
full flap and aileron input. What I think will work perfectly though is to
remove the front piece of the mounting plate and attach them at the end
rib/main spar area so the arm starts right about the hinge point. This will
put the arm below the lower wing skin even in full deflection and I think
they will work well.
