We missed you ! Had a smaller crowd than usual, but a
great meeting. Some new builders, and some old fliers ;-) :-)
lots of useful tips exchanged. Some motivation from others' success,
and several chose to make '04 the year they get those Rebels finished &
flying !! Thanks to those who are already flying for sharing
their tips on cowlings, cooling, brakes, and LOTS of other things.
We're always looking for the TOPICS you'd like to kick around at
the next meeting - please pass along your suggestions !
Anna & i skipped out of the 3rd day of a 3-day business owner's
management seminar, so our fixed costs were a bit higher than usual
to be at this meeting ! ;-) But we were able to pass on some tips
from yesterday's speaker, Dr. Zonnya ...
Motivation is:
---------------
1. Making a CHOICE
2. to take ACTION
3. for a RESULT
(and the key part ...)
4. Whether you FEEL LIKE IT or NOT !!
Not always easy to head out to the shop on these cold days,
but GOOD RESULTS come from GOOD CHOICES !
It was great to be in a room full of winners, who have decided
to move on to achieve their dreams ! There was a bit of discussion
about the hundreds of thousands of dreamers out there who only DREAM
about building & flying their own airplane, and the thousand or so people
who start to try to build, only to give up on their dreams ....
and have someone else finish their kits & enjoy them. We don't know
what the statistics are for kits completed by the original buyer, but
we do know that most Murphy kits DO get completed & flown !!
Don't give up on YOUR dreams !!!
Keep building ..... it IS worth it !!!!! :-) :-) :-)
We'd REALLY like some more Rebels, Meeses, etc. for company on our
Rebel Rambles !! ;-)
Sorry Bob - that wasn't aimed at you, just passing it along.
We know you've been working hard getting those amphibs ready - now
all we need is a 'fast-forward' to SPRING !! :-)
Don't worry - those Murphy amphibs will work GREAT !! They
don't leak like old "Brand XXX's" ... ;-) :-)
We only had a little skiff of snow here, fortunately. Hope
we'll see everyone at the NEXT Rebel Builders Meeting on Sunday,
March 14th .... How's that for advance notice ??!! Mark those
calendars now ! ;-) :-)
