float bumpers

hi,

thanks to Dave and Wayne for the help on the bumpers. Clint, the float
building partner got p off and called again tonight. murphy says they
will ship them soon. also said we are not getting the hydraulic fluid
resevoir. anyone else able to run a business where someone pays you and
10 months later you still have not delivered the paid for product, and
tell the customer not to expect his stuff? i would like to think that
they are at least embarrassed.

keep the pictures coming, they are very helpful.

Wayne G. O'Shea

float bumpers

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Sat Feb 18, 2012 12:07 am

Nope, ours is the other way around. We manufacture stuff out of our own
pockets and then when GMC decides to refinance their operations on their
suppliers they pay TRW/Magna/etc 10 months later and us third tier suppliers
are lucky if we get our money with in a year (when this happens every 4 or 5
years). GM did it to the tune of 42 Billion US $'s around '91/'92. Refinance
interest free off of all your suppliers! Wish I could get away with that!

I suggested to MAM to go back to making a reservior out of acetone cans and
4 fuel tank fittings.... as they have done in the past. Guess that
suggestion didn't go very far and I can only see it getting worse once they
finish ramping up the facilities to quick build the Rebel in house in the
new year!

Will send you a couple pictures of the reservior can Andy!

float bumpers

Andy

There is a guy nearby us who makes & sells float bumpers and in fact they are
made for his straight floats for homebuilts. They also do R&O on certified
floats of all sizes & carry certified materials for spreaders & wires etc.
etc. The bumpers perhaps could be modified to suit the amphibs you have.

I have been in their facility and they make some nice looking floats. They are
also in the business of aircraft salvage & trading etc.

You want to contact:

Brinley or Eddie Peck
