I know we have been here before, but since this time I found myself staring
at THREE bolts per front attach fitting I thought it was time for a
refresher post in case anyone is at this stage or flying something that has
commited this sin!
I often find two bolts here, due to MAM putting a tooling hole in the front
stab fitting that just begs to be drilled and bolted. DON'T DO IT!
If you use more than the intended SINGLE bolt then you turn the front spar
into a cantilever beam. This keeps the rear spar and lift strut from doing
what it is supposed to, and leaves the front spar subject to possible
breakage just outboard of the attach fitting.

Wrong way to mount a stabilizer - Rebel
Wayne,
Thanks for the "heads up". I also installed two bolts in the front
fittings. I must have missed the earlier discussions.

That tooling hole just begged to be drilled didn't it??
Just pull out the outboard bolt and all will be fine!
Glad I posted again!
Cheers,
Wayne
